Our Story

Wine has always been more than a drink — it is history in a glass, a living record of place, people, and tradition.

At Native Vino, we founded our company with a simple but radical idea: to bring the world’s native and forgotten grapes into the spotlight. While most American shelves are dominated by a handful of familiar varietals (e.g., Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir), thousands of unique grapes are grown across Europe and beyond. The wines made with each of these grapes express their unique tastes, characters, and cultural histories and traditions.

Native Vino will bring each of these forgotten wines, and their stories, to the American consumer.

Our Mission

We exist to make the wine world in the United States more diverse, approachable, and meaningful. By working directly with small, artisanal producers, we import and share wines that would otherwise never leave their regions of origin. Every bottle of Native Vino represents craftsmanship, authenticity, and discovery.

The Native Vino Experience

Human nature drives us toward novelty and discovery. And yet, in the wonderfully diverse world of wine, it is quite difficult to explore the wine landscape, with consumers generally relegated to drinking only the standard commercial varietals.
